this camcorder is fantastic. the picure quality is spectacular, and so is the zoom. delivery was on time, and the camera arrived well packaged. this camera is so easy to get used to, and within 5 minutes after charging it you will be shooting gorgeous hd videos, and have all the basics of the camera like zooming mastered. after going from a fuji finepix with an ok camera the quality of this is unbelievable. i would reccomend this to anyone wanting a brilliant hd camera for a bargain price.

I love this camera. I got one in the States as I don't care about the NTSC output in standard def mode. The HD recordings in 1080 are brilliant. Three weeks in Florida can be enjoyed over and over again just like being there.
If you are feeling flush, buy the Sony VRD-MC5 dvd burner. Just connect the docking station to the burner, pop the camera on the dock stick a dvd-r into the MC5, press a button and hey presto; out comes a dvd that is recorder in blu ray format allowing full HD playback ... Read More

The sony HDR-SR10 works fine with imovie, just plug and play, very simple and easy to use. All the reviewers say sony camcorder does not work mac its rubbish. forgive me for being so rude but the people who can't get it to work with mac are stupid and they don't now how to used the mac. You don't need drivers (the usb cable which comes with the camcorder) to run the sony camcorder in to your mac. You need only imovie and toast 9 to be able to play the movie on you mac. The Sony HDRSR is an excellent quality digital camcorder. Quite expensive but certainly worth the money for all the features it has.
The camcorder is very easy to use and didn't take me long to get used to the controls and how to tweak them. It's sturdy in your hand and very light. My old camcorder (now resigned to the attic) was a Sony that took those small cassette videotapes (it also weighed a ton) so this is a refreshing change. Straight out of the box you quickly see you have a stylish and high quality HD camcorder. I have not yet bought an HD TV but wanted to use the latest HD technology when capturing Christmas, days out and birthdays.
