As per other reviewers, I found the sound quality so bad as to be unacceptable.
Also the video quality in low-ish light (indoors with reasonable lights on in the room) was very grainy.
That's it. End of review.
I gave up and returned it for a refund.

Toshiba Camileo Pro Camcorder
i bought this for my sister as a christmas present so she could film her three kids but i was dissapointed with the picture quality, and the sound in non existent. so dissapointed ive now got to send it back and look for another one. :-(

Great looking camera, great video performance, especially keeping in mind the price.
I was hoping that the previous review just got a dud, but it is true... If you want to hear ANYTHING on your recording your mouth has to be right on the microphone. And you have to shout. Not great if you want to record your baby's first words. Think 1920 silent movies. No connection for external microphone, so the problem is really not to be overcome.
